Mr. Stoneman has a B.A. from Bowdoin College and an M.A. from Columbia University in Private School Leadership. His background is eclectic – a Wall St. bond trader and investment banker, a house designer and builder, and many years as a teacher and coach. As a Head of School for the last 22 years, Mr. Stoneman joined Shattuck-St. Mary's School in 2003 where today he serves as its President and leads the School’s global expansion plans.
Mr. Stoneman is a steadfast advocate for establishing unique and distinct Shattuck-St. Mary’s schools across the globe, where students can both celebrate their local culture and heritage while simultaneously benefitting from the educational model that is Shattuck-St. Mary’s.
Mr. Stoneman just celebrated his 30th year of marriage, and has three children who attend(ed) Shattuck-St. Mary’s. He is an avid runner and biker, a carpenter, and an active volunteer in the local community.
Dr. Gregg Maloberti holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership at the University of Pennsylvania. With over 30 years of work in education, Dr. Maloberti has rich leadership experience and excellent management talents. Dr. Maloberti has served as the Dean of Admission at several of America’s oldest and finest schools including Lawrenceville School in New Jersey for 15 years and as Head of School of the Canadian International School of Hong Kong from 2014 to 2016.
Mr. MacMillan joined the School in July of 2013 as the Director of the Upper School and the Director of Athletics. He has served as the Head of School for the past three years. Mr. MacMillan had previously served in various positions over the prior thirty years with Hyde School (campuses in Bath, ME and Woodstock, CT), including Head of School, Dean of Students, Director of Athletics, teacher and coach. Mr. MacMillan was also the founding Head of School of the Hyde Leadership Public Charter School in Washington, D.C. He earned his undergraduate degree with a major in psychology from Bowdoin College, and later received a M.Ed. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and a MA in Counseling Psychology from Antioch Graduate School of New England. Beginning with the 2017-18 school year, Mr. MacMillan will serve as the Chief International Officer for SSM, providing guidance and support to the heads of school for all of Shattuck’s international initiatives.
