为者常成，行者常至，教育是一种传承，每一名教育者都是前人知识智慧的传递者，在开学典礼上，校长们同样也表达了他们对孩子们的期待。

在海嘉，教育似有种中国竹的风骨，其传播不依风和鸟，而在于深埋地下的传与承，这些根须也随着一次又一次这样的活动，传承到每个“嘉”人的血液中，绿舟之山，学海之水，待到青笋破土，鱼米满仓。教育是心与心的相遇，它在孩子们的成长过程中播下了美好的种子，并用耐心和爱呵护着它们的成长。它唤醒了人们对美、对真善美的追求，点燃了希望和爱的火焰，让我们对未来充满信心，对新学年翘首以盼！

In BIBA, education is an encounter of hearts, with the utmost goodness, sincerity, and clarity.The 2023-2024 BIBA Opening Ceremony is an encounter of hearts. It is like a graceful journey that ignites students’ infinite expectations and desires for the new semester, leading their hope, expectation, and confusion to enlightenment, insight, and wisdom. In this world full of knowledge and exploration, everyone is like a torch in a bright hole, warming the path of students in the new semester.

In BIBA, education is not limited to the classroom, it integrates into every corner of life: the sound of classroom bells, the flipping of books, the interaction with dinosaur statues, the snuggling in book corners, the communication between friends, and including this Opening Ceremony, they are all embodiments of education. It not only gives students the strength to grow, but also gives them the courage and wisdom to face challenges and difficulties. In BIBA, love is a bridge that connects every member in the community, inspiring each other and advancing together.

Those who keep up their efforts often achieve their goal; and those who keep on walking often reach their destination. Education is a form of inheritance, and every educator is a transmitter of knowledge and wisdom from their predecessors. At the Opening Ceremony, principals expressed their expectations for students.Principal Ouyang advocated that students should firstly have a grateful heart, grateful to those around them, their parents, teachers, and friends. Secondly, she encouraged everyone to do their best in everything. Dare to try, do their best, and even if the results are not as good as they wish, they will accomplish a lot.Dr. Bevis shared with students the new changes on campus and wished everyone a good start and even better grades in the new academic year.Dr. Pang encourages students to learn creativity and ideas from those around them, in order to absorb and transform into their own, and to continuously improve themselves.Deputy Head of School Delinda Wu shared with the students the famous quote of philosopher Kant: there are two most important thing in the world: the starry sky above our heads and the moral law in our hearts. She encouraged students to explore the truth of the world and universe, think independently, find their beloved fields, and persist. The second is to hold moral principles in mind, have others in mind, respect teachers, care for classmates, be honest and trustworthy, adhere to the school's five values of benevolence, righteousness, propriety, intelligence, and trustworthiness, and become a kinder person in the new semester.Dennis, the principal of ES, hoped that students will walk into the school gate with a smile every day, set goals every day, and work hard to lay the foundation for their future self. The teachers will provide sufficient support to everyone.MSHS Principal Peter shared with students that new beginning may be accompanied by fear and doubt, but it is also full of challenges and opportunities. We look forward to welcoming the new academic year together with everyone.The new ECC Principal, Katleen, hoped that students will maintain a positive attitude towards learning and influencing those around them in the new academic year.The education in BIBA has the strength of Chinese bamboo, which means its spread does not depend on the wind or birds, but on the deep underground transmission and inheritance.
